Il Poggiolo has received a number of reviews from guests who have posted them on intermediary travel websites.  Although we cannot provide direct links to these sites (this would infringe conditions postulated by VRBO), please do not hesitate to consult any of these travel sites for guest comments. These reviews may answer some of your questions, and will give an idea of what people have liked about Il Poggiolo and Tuscany.

Look up the very detailed reviews for the Fienile and the Casa Colonica on the Slow Travel site under “Italy Vacation Rental Reviews – All of Tuscany”. There is a great deal of information about the accommodations themselves, and tips on things to do.

On the VRBO site (VRBO = Vacation Rentals by Owner), Il Poggiolo has the only two listings under “Italy-Tuscany-Chianti-Montevarchi”: the first is for the Fienile, and the second for the Casa Colonica.  Check out the comments by travelers from the USA, Canada, Australia and Mexico

The Homelidays site seems to be used above all by French, Italian and German travelers.  On this site Il Poggiolo can be found under:  Italy-Arezzo-Mercatale Valdarno. The Casa Colonica (n° 124056) and Fienile cottage (n°123713) have reviews in English, Italian and French

There is also a very nice article by a recent guest,    Stacy Williams, in the online magazine All Things Cottage called “Experience Cottage Living in Tuscany”. She mentions her stay at Il Poggiolo and provides some tips, photos  and describes events not to be missed.
