A private patio leads into
a light and airy living room, with satellite television
& DVD player. The living room also boasts a library
of recreational reading and games.
There is a brand new, fully-equipped
kitchen with solid wood cabinetry and granite counter-tops,
5-burner gas stove, electric oven, full fridge/freezer,
dishwasher & washing machine.
The study (with desk, and also handy luggage storage
area) acts as an extra bedroom with a day-bed (a second
bed also available). The study is ideal for artists, writers,
or academics on sabbatical who wish to have a separate
work space.
Attached to the study / third bedroom is a bathroom with
shower. Screens on all windows. Fans provided in the summer.
The kitchen leads onto a large veranda, with breathtaking
views onto the Valdambra and Chianti hills. The windows
can be opened during summer, but in winter help trap the
sun to make this a lovely place to curl up with a book. |

The stairs leading up to the first floor
are topped by a panoramic window; there is a wrought-iron
safety gate at the top that can be closed for children.
The landing gives access to two bedrooms.
The Master bedroom has views onto the Valdarno and Appenine
mountains. One of the walls features a particularity that
has been carefully preserved: two windows give out onto
"nido d'ape" brickwork, an architectural detail
characteristic of Tuscan barns. A large picture window
across from the bed means waking up to an unimpeded view
of the hills. A rollaway bed or crib can be added to the
master bedroom for children.
The twin bedroom has views onto the Valdambra and Chianti
hills. A lovely feature of both bedrooms is the historic
ceiling, composed of antique beams and traditional brickwork.
Another modern bathroom with shower completes this floor.
Screens on all windows. Fans provided in the summer.

The Fienile garden area (ca.200 square
meters) is complete with umbrella, bench, table, and chairs,
and has a lovely view onto the Arno Valley and Appennine
mountains. There is also a south-facing sitting area off
the veranda, perfect for reading, sipping an aperitif
and watching the evening light change on the Chianti hills.
